I have been neglectful of my blog.
Major events since I last blogged, my brother got married, then my grandma got married. Went to Hawaii twice in a month. My oldest started middle school. And I crossed to the dark side and got an iphone. Been pretty crazy.

This year I decided I wanted to take more pictures of the girls. Much to their dismay.

I just scheduled another class for next month at the Peddler's Pack using different stamps. This class we will be working on faces, and hair, and also blending in a spring floral background.
I will have samples in the shop later this week and a supply list as well.

Ekk! a busy month
I finished my classes for the term just before spring break for the girls.
I had my birthday party about 3 weeks late. ( DH got me an imagine!!)
And we went to disneyland!
Bella graduated puppy training
Oh but I MADE the family all disneyland shirts! super simple! I used my cricut expression and fabric, and iron on heat n bond, new blog coming with how to pictures soon :)
Did I mention I got a DSLR camera to play with? so excited.
Oh and softball has started again, this year their name is Purple Thunder.

New Hair Clippies and Projects

Been a bit absent from my blog, have some big custom orders I am working on right now :)
Working on stitching out some new clippies this week! Here are a few pictures, still have a snow man, an acorn, gingerbread person, and some sports themed clippies that need stitched out. Also got in a big order of ribbon this week.

Someone asked me to stitch out a hat with owl eyes on it this week. I think it turned out really well.

The girls and I went christmas dress shopping today. They picked out the cutest sparkly dresses! The best part is they were on clearance for 11.99 each! Now all we need is new dress shoes, I can't believe how quickly they are growing. This picture is from my parent's 35th anniversary dinner this past week.

So I started out to do a card, and then decided I would sew a Thanksgiving runner for the dining table real quick. I finished and told my girls 9 and 10 that they could pick their top favorite plastic cups, I was going to get rid of the bin that held all their cups and they could drink from glass now. They picked them out and place them in the cupboard I cleaned out. Now fast forward FIVE minutes, yes 5, I hear an awful crash in the kitchen. A child has just managed to get a glass to drop out of the cupboard and shatter in the sink. Luckily I was able to save the plastic cup as they had not actually left the house yet.

The sad news was this was one of my favorite glasses, I started with 4 and I am now down to one. They were my Grandma's and they remind me of having breakfast with her. I started looking at them closely and realized that there was an ippity stamp was very similar! I grabbed my bit of burlap and two oddball glasses in my cupboard to test it out! They turned out great! I am going to get some yellow staz-on and make myself a new set of glasses and put the last original yellow in my china cabinent.

My Mom made a card for the cupcake challenge this week! I got to craft at her house so we got to use mostly all Stampin' Up supplies!

I finally used the Happy Chef stamp set my mom got. I used an apple out of a really really old school Stampin' Up set for the early 90's out of my Mom's stamps

My chef is paper pieced. I love the striped pants!

Here is an update on J's Hanna Montana Lamp! we just need to add trim!

We used white Satin to drape the lamp. and hot glue to tack it in places to make it drape.

So My daughter has decided she is too old for Hanna Montana, last year she insisted she would always want/ love/ need a Hannah Montana Lamp. Now this picture is of the lamp is it sitting on the living room floor in daylight. Yes I said daylight. Kinda Creepy! She is glowing!

We are going to recreate the lamp tonight! We have some satin, fabric flowers, ippity stamps of course, and fabrico pads, and a few copics I am sure :)

I apologize for my lateness, Sunday was my crafting day, or supposed to be. I woke up witha sinus headache and decided to take a bath. I knew I was making pumpkin muffins and sent my youngest to go check how many cubes of butter we had and to place one on the counter to warm up. DD decided she was none to happy with that and slammed the fridge. She came back to say we had 2 cubes. I asked if she remembered to put one out on the counter. She ran back down the hall to do it. By this point I am just getting in my nice hot tub. She screams!, I call out what is going on? She doesn't answer!, argh I get out of my tub and get wrapped in a towel and go down to the kitchen. When my dear child slammed the fridge door the first time, she knocked a Pepsi off the shelf so when she opened it this time it fell and burst, and spun and covered the entire kitchen from waist height down in Pepsi! Good news is now I have a nice clean kitchen.

while my kids were inside wiping up the soda, I decided to move my car back in to the driveway and it wouldn't start?! Oh My goodness What a day! Car stayed broken till this morning when it miracously started again!

busy day! I wanted to make pumpkin bread and ekk the pumpkin at the store was 2.89 for a tiny little can! so I called my husband who said yes I can freeze pumpkin( he is a chef) and I bought the cash and carry 6lb can of pumpkin for 7.50! good thing he loves pumpkin bread he says.

My girls decided to make me a card because I was not having an excellent day. ( the rice pot started smoking(not steam) and that was just the beginning)

Julia is 9 and she made the fairy and Lilia is 10 and she did the rose. they adore using copics

I was so impressed she even shaded the hair and outlined her in a grey to give her a shadow! she even gave her eyes! and using 3 colors on the rose wow she must have heard something I said!! I cried lol

Also soooo cute notice the botton paper isn't quite straight, they must have glued it and then cut it because the card stock in the back is also cut the same way! a detail a mother would love!!!

They always like to help me enter cards in challenges and WOW the card was perfect for this week's cupcake inspiration.

I have been insanely busy with birthdays and the end of school coming up! I don't know where the month has gone!

While browsing online I found the cutest download for a copic marker "mini" book,

The links on on the left hand side. They have a set of recomended markers in different color familys. There are also printable pages for doing faces, and hair and other custom colors. Really Neat find! I printed mine out of Georgia pacific cardstock. I have colored a few pages and will bind it when I get my machine back from the friend I loaned it to. The pages print 4 to a page, but a few of the pages are available as full size as well. I printed both.

Was my brother's birthday this last week and he had his party on Saturday. I made his cake to his specifications that it be a peanut butter cake and have chocolate fudge icing. to add a bit more fun in this I decided it should also be a cake my Mom could eat. She avoids eggs and soy, and corn and a few others. I didn't usethe cricut cake at all for this cake, the edging is a chocolate collar that I made from melted white and dark chocolate.

Cricut Cake to Expression Comprison

My Darling husband got a Cricut Cake for me for Mother's day. I have been curious about how it compared to the Expression. Here are some pictures of the new cricut cake.

The first 3 are pictures of the back. 1st the whole machine, then a curious little port looking thing that at first glance i thought was tether of some sort. The third picture is wehre the power cord and usb port is for the gypsy or link to design studio.

The Mat is not dishwasher safe or for use in a microwave. the next picture is a close up of the mat that has circles from 2 to 12 inchs on it. the last picture of the mat is entire mat.

the cricut cake comes with a handy cleaning brush.

a little device that operates and looks much like a tea leaf holder. It is to hold the cutting blade while it is being washed in a dishwasher.

this picture is a comparison of the expression blade housing on the bottom and the cricut cake blade housing on the top. It is much shorter and it has a little rubber housing around the bottom of it to prevent gunk from getting in it.

the cricut cake was a bit misleading when in the manuel and the quickstart guide and the sticker on the front of the cricut cake as shown demonstrate that the blade assembly is identical to that of the expression. after calling provocraft and waiting on hold for a while, they informed me it was a mistake in the user manuel.

Here is the little rubber gizmo that attaches around the cartridge when it is being used.

I used a fabric covered button on this one. I think I like the plain yellow button more.

I made this out of 4 inch squares of fabric left over from a seamstress who made wedding dresses. I went to their garage sale and the seamstress had long since passed and the daughter who was about 70+ was selling off things. I picked up a whole box of ends of pretty wedding dress material! I don't recall what I paid but it must have been very little.

Wow the craft store finally got it in! We had dinenr at the happy Panda next door and got ot go look before we ate to see if they had it yet. My DH offered to let me get the other limited edition cartridges but I wasn't very intersted in them. I can't wait to make the 3-d furniture!

so Design studio broke on my laptop?!?( 2nd time ) so I called provocraft on friday morning. They had me reinstall it completely and it worked??!! but meanwhile the lady asked me if I had registered my cartridges b/c if I didn't register them they couldn't help me if I had a problem. LOL I believed them and yesterday afternoon got out all my cartridges and started registering them. it took forever! but the good news is I found lots of rewards points I hadn't put on my account yet!!

My girls and David on Easter Sunday. Lil is very upset that I made her put on the dress for pictures. She didn't smile the entire 10 mins. she was wearing the dress.

This week has just flown by, between softball, art classes, science classes and dr appointments we have not been home a night this week. Looking forward to the girls going to grandma's house this weekend so we can relax. Sunday is our one year anniversary :)

I have some awesome things to post and lots of projects and other things. my dining room/ photo studio is a tad to dark to take pictures in at night, I managed to blow out 2 light bulbs at the same time in the chandlier in addition to the one out already and now it is really like eating by candle light lol

Softball team is Red thank goodness since I had most of the supplies for red on hand. I have been stitching like mad tying to get the ribbons done in time for opening night (Friday Night). We didn't know what color the team was until Wednesday night! The hardest part is done now so I just have assembling them left.

Quick Birthday Present

My daughters were both invited to a birthday party fora little girl whose name begins with M. So not knowing what she wanted I decided to make her a monogramed shirt and matching hairbow. Ribbon Rings

I have been busy organizing my ribbon with ribbon rings over the last few weeks
first I ordered the set of 90 and used them all and had tons of ribbon left over. The pictures below are or the 90 + 20 or so off the new set of 300 I got. I bought mine at www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com
Batman is helping me out below by holding the bag of them.
I have to say I don't think I have enough orange and yellow lol i couldn't figure out why I didn't have much blue ribbon, and my darling daughter says she might have some in her room, so she goes in and brings back a large handful, I look at her and say wow this is bunch of ribbon why is it in your room, she says well I don't know why. so I ask if that was all and she comes back 2 more times with armfuls.

Still maybe half way done at best, I have boxes and boxes of spools and more loose ribbon in the other room besides this laundry basket full that I am currently working out of lol

She also brought me my birthday presents EARLY!! wohoo I have a sock problem and none of my pretty pairs seem to ever match up again so she gave me a HUGE gift bag full of pretty pairs :) with strict instructions to make them last until Christmas! lol

Coffee Cozy

It turned out cuter than I expected it to. I was at M's and found a roll of red craft metal, and thought it might be neat to try ( it was on clearance as well)

this is the up side and the nthe same sheet in reverse, this is a heavy foil, I tried it on kitchen tinfoil and it tore it up, granted there are 3 sizes of embossing nibs, and I was using the medium sized one. Need to ask my husband if he has a heavier grade foil at work he can bring me to try out :)

Yudu / my birthday present early

So this giant box has been sitting in my dining room since my dear husband got it for me at the day after Thankgiving sale. Mind you it was my BIRTHDAY present ( since he had given me my Christmas present earlier in late October) so I was supposed to wait until March to open it! Disneyland Autograph Books

The girls and I set out last year before our Disneyland trip to come up with a book that we could use to get signatures that was easily expandable, but not too heavy to carry. We ended up getting simple journals from M's

I told the girls I would cut out anything they wanted with the cricut but they had to assemble and decorate how they wanted it to be. One of the challenges is you don't know the direction of the picture you might end up with so it is hard to pre-do too much of the pages, we ended up using sticky notes to make flags and once we had a characters picture and signature, we removed the tab from the outside of the book and stuck it inside with the signature, so we could come back and decorate.

We had a wonderful weekend away at the beach for David's Birthday.
I made David a fantastic card which I was still putting finishing touchs on so have not taken it's picture yet. Have to take it back from him :)

Poinsetta Gift Card Holder

for this project I used a green gift card sleeve, and used the sizzix with the poinsetta looking flower die, with red felt, then used the cropadile to cut a hold through the 3 flowers ( I didn't use the smallest one) and put a large yellow brad though the center and hot glued it to the sleeve.

Etched Glasses with the Cricut (and wedding pics)

Here I used the cricut vinyl to cut out Bride from the Calligraphy cricut cartridge. I also created a Groom glass and then as our favors we did wine glasses with an design from one of the disney princess cartridges, the double twig hearts, then I used the calligraphy carridge and put a "D" in one and a "L" in the other. Not sure our photographer took a picture of that one though still looking through pictures

Happy Birthday Dad!

Wow we are in birthday mode, can't tell you how old my dad turned today, but he decided he would rather have his party in 2 weeks so he didn't have to have us over again. lol the girls and I made him a OSU lap blanket. It turned out beautifully. The girls spent the night Friday and Saturday night at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

My grandma turned 88 today, it was soo cute, we went to a restaurant and the man ( an accordian player) who led the birthday song, had just finished sining to lady in the corner and he said she was turning 29, to this really old woman. Hard to see due to the lack of lighting, guess I should get my photo box set up again. Will reshoot it later, but for now, here is the tiny jesse james crystal snowflakes and the swirls around the snow flakes was stamped in versamark, and then I used mineral eyeshadow in a teal color and brushed it on. It turned out really cute, the sparkle is beautiful

Long Awaited Wedding Pictures

So we wait and wait and get out pictures one day before we leave for Hawaii and need pictures to show people at our reception ekk! Thank goodness for Costco and their quick photo turn around. We uploaded and picked up the next morning and made just enough prints to finish our album at breakfast out first morning in Hawaii. Big Sigh of relief.

Batman

I am not sure that David really appreciates the cat. lol I enjoy the prevention of mice and the cats ability to eat odd bugs it finds. David came in to the bedroom and Batman and I were on the bed, blogging. Batman heard him coming and slunk down really low and close to my body so David wouldn't be able to see him from the door. Kitty looks so cute I don't want to make him move :)

The high school was so crowded. We had to come early since the coach had not passed out uniforms prior to the opening and the girls needed them for their parade in. Luckily it seemed many other teams had not recieved their uniforms in time either.

28th Birthday Celebration

David told me a week prior that my present was coming to my office. What a wait that was, I kept bugging the fedex drivers to see if they had a package for me. Finally it showed up and wohoo David got me a Cricut Expression. Oh My Goodness I was sooooooo excited. I could hardly wait to take it out of the box to play with it. After rearranging the family room to fit David's table in as my new craft table, I was able to fit the cricut under the sawhorse leg but easy to access.

We had a nice dinner with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, and my grandma and uncle. My Mom made us dinner. David let me pick my own cake from Beaverton Bakery. http://www.beavertonbakery.com It was so hard to choose. :) Lol it was pointed out to me later that it was good my 28 candles had not melted the cake.

Softball Tryouts

We spent David's birthday at the beach in Lincoln City. The outlet malls had some awesome deals I got the girls new coats for 12.00 each reg. 60.00 and some gap fleeces for 6.97 each and old navy fleeces for 3.00 each. the girls will be all set for softball now. We got back on Saturday and picked up the girls Sunday. The girls and I went out to go and pick David's birthdy cake. It took forever to pick the right one, they kept arguing over which one he would like better. Lilia said we shouldn't get the strawberry one because he would expect that so we should get a different one lol

Lilia turn 9 today. wow she is old. She had a sleepover party with 8 of her friends. David says I owe him big time for helping chaperone the party. The girls stayed up soo late and kept asking to call home. One of the girls even had her own cell phone and was texting people throughout the party. lol

Yesterday David and I went to Craft Warehouse and wandered around for about an hour. David was ready to wait in the car lol then I asked him to go through the line so he could use one of my coupons. By the time he got out of the monstrous line I still was not done selecting my $20.00 worth of goodies I could get 5.00 off. I ended up with a ribbon punch ( WOHOO awesome project coming soon) for 40% off, 12 catseyes ink regularly 1.99 for $1.00 each, cats eye chalk, 2 different packages of really cute star shapped brads, and hair clips for the girls hair.

The girls got their Christmas dresses yesterday as well. Lilia's is red and with black velvet and Julia's is pink and with black velvet. They are both very excited. Julia asked me right away what kind of hair bow was I making for her dress.

Thanksgiving

We had everyone over to my house for Thanksgiving this year. Actually the first year I have ever hosted it. It turned out great.
